Stretch. Reflect. Act.

Who are you... NOW?

September 30, 2015

I’m not who I was as a kid. I’m not who I was as a young adult. I’m not even who I was yesterday before I had a conversation with a neonatal doctor while waiting in line at the grocery store.

Our lives are full of “potential realities.” Big and little choices that contribute to who we are.

One of my early “potential realities” was to become a musician. I play (or used to play) piano, three stringed instruments, three brass instruments, two woodwinds, various percussion instruments… and I sing too!!
Not my career path.

I entered college to become an eighth-grade math teacher. I left with a degree in commercial art and spent 23 years in marketing and advertising. I learned a lot about marketing, about being a manager, about myself. No regrets.

Then I took a sharp right turn and started my own business. My passion for teaching, that “potential reality” I’d sensed when I was younger, found a different avenue of expression.

We rarely can see what’s around the next curve in the road. The point? Through all of your experiences and the big and little choices you are continuously making, you are co-creating your reality.

Walk your path mindfully, respectfully, with an open heart and mind. Choose who you are… now.

Good Qi,
